July 26th, 3pm – 5pm
You may have heard of the Music Man Project – they’ve been at the Royal Albert Hall and on TV, recently singing on Channel 4’s The Last Leg.
Now they are performing at Rayleigh Methodist Church, and you don’t want to miss it!
The Music Man Project offers award winning music education and performance services for people with learning disabilities. In Essex, they now run classes 6 days a week, including daily sessions for adults, the continuation of the original Saturday music school plus curriculum and enrichment services for local special schools.
11th August, 1pm – 4pm, FREE
Open from 1pm – 4pm, with games, a bouncy castle and even a puppet show! There will be lots of classic ‘summer fete’ games and competitions, such as giant jenga and hook a duck; lots of fun for children and adults alike!
Puppet shows will be at 2pm and 3pm. They will be telling a short Bible story in a fun and exciting way for smaller children.
There will also be a dress-up competition, so why not come as your favourite hero!?
September 26th, 5pm – 7:30pm
If you have never done a Ceilidh before, it is fun, social dance where the moves are taught beforehand and then called out during the dance. You don’t have to be a ‘dancer’ to join in! It’s a good laugh, and no-one minds if you get it all right. You dance it in pairs, and in groups, but you don’t need a partner to come along as people switch around who they dance with between dances.
We’ll be having an hour of Ceilidh, followed by a half-hour break with buffet food, and then another hour of dancing after that. You can choose to dance every dance, or sit out as many as you like.
